Wilder than Wild: Fire, Forests, and the Future is a documentary about how fire suppression and climate change have exposed our forests and wildland-urban landscapes to large, high intensity wildfires.
Firelighting was an initiative to bring the film to northwestern California through community screenings. The events highlighted perspectives on building resilience in fire-prone areas, including management through prescribed burns and the tradition of cultural fire by California tribes.
